Paying Homage to Sam Walton

I took a brief weekend getaway to the hills of Arkansas. I explored Bentonville, the home of Wal-Mart.

I biked to a farmer's market and stocked up on beef and popcorn.

I also toured Fayetteville.

Good times abound!

Gnomelandia Real Estate

Well, despite my love of traveling, a gnome needs a comfortable spot to lay his head. I am looking for a new residence and have three options for my readers to weigh in on!

Posting just so you can see how horrific this house is. How outside appearances can be deceiving! If this is your vote, prepare to live the single life, because no lady gnome will lay her head in this house.

#1013 Just down the block, I happened across this beauty. It's a 3-level detached townhouse with historic charm and fully renovated kitchen and bathroom.

The ground level (separate entrance) has a brand new half bath, kitchen, washer/dryer, eat-in area, and larger room (dining area? gym? lady lair?). There is also an entrance to a small side patio.

The main level has two large living areas. They have original hardwood floors, tall ceilings, crown molding, new bar area, stained glass windows, new windows, new central air and an alarm system.

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms and a full bath. The bath is compact, but is clean and has new recessed shelving. The master bedroom has a large closet and a nook for the bed and nice windows. The smaller bedroom has a small closet and built-in shelves.

The drawbacks? More expensive. Street-parking only. Small patio area.
