Ice, Ice Baby

Yo, Cedric, kick it one time, boy!

I hit the road and traveled 8 hours north to Stratton, Vermont for one final ski trip of the season.

Unfortunately, mother nature didn't cooperate and conditions were less than stellar - light rain, fog, mist... turning into all out downpour... turning into ice and then, finally, snow.

I still managed to enjoy Grizzly's bar, the fireplace at Stratton Inn, the hot tub, Angry Birds, outlet shopping and general relaxation.

Clown shoes for gnome feet?

A couple weeks ago I headed up to Whitetail ski resort in Pennsylvania for a little day trip.

After scoring a sweet pair of boots and skis, I wanted to test them out before my big trip to Vermont.

Unfortunately, my giant gnome feet felt suffocated in my boots and I had an uncomfortable couple rides down the mountain (hill?). After a brief tantrum at the ski fitters, I started to loosen up the insoles and was able to feel my feet again. Ah, sweet relief.

I could finally enjoy the nice weather and surprisingly pleasant runs at Whitetail.
